I'm giving 5 stars for the food...but with a stipulation.
Go at night. Don't get the buffet. Get the Chicken Makhani or tikka Massala.
I've had some bland dishes here, but these two are the cream of the crop in my opinion. Some of the lamb dishes are delicious too.
As stated by others, the management is a bit aloof, but friendly enough. And yes, the poor wait staff is usually under trained or experienced. But man...those dishes and some naan of your choice and saffron rice....so yummy! -

Coming from larger cities, (San Antonio, Colorado Springs, Denver, Austin) what a joy it was to find this restaurant. The big flavors are in every dish even on the buffet selections. There's not a bunch of international cuisine in this part of Florida and I was almost put off by the negative reviews. But if you enjoy middle Eastern flavors, the Saffron restaurant is the place to go!

Hands down the most pathetic Indian resturant I have ever been to to date. We were in town and wanted to eat some Indian food. Searching on Yelp this was the only one in the area and I am very sorry it is. Because if this if locals first experience with Indian food they may never go back and actually try a good Indian resturant.
We came in with a group of eight. I was supposed to be meeting my fiances family for the first time. Being vegan I can usually rest assured knowing this type of restaurant will have options for me. Do they have options? Yes. Do they have options you are going to eat and enjoy? Hell no.
First off our server, he seemed annoyed the second we walked into the door. After we said there would be a group of eight he seemed less than pleased even though it was a completely empty resturant when we arrived. He took our drink orders. I asked for a Masala Chai with no milk. He flat out refused to serve it to me and instead gave me plain black tea.
Strike one.
Strike two our group tried to order soups and appetizers, to which we find out none of them were avaliable. We were debating on leaving at this point and we really should have.
Finally we order our entrees. My fiances father ordered a chicken curry he requested spicy. My fiancee ordered a lamb curry, I ordered Shahi Cholay, I requested extra spicy and my fiances mother and boyfriend both ordered chicken Briyani.
After about 45 minutes our food finally arrives. And was it worth the wait? Not at all. First of all the Briyani looked like no Briyani I had ever seen in my life. It honest to God looked like the instant chicken rice my dad used to make me eat as a kid. The gravy on the curries looked absolutely horrid. And the chickpeas I ordered tasted liked they came out of a can and had no hint of spice, like at all. Ever though I ordered extra spicy. I got the attention of our waiter and told him it was not spicy at all. Honestly in my mind I thought he was going to take the dish back to the kitchen and add more chilies to it. That would of been what would happen in any normal Indian resturant. Instead what he did I will laugh about for the rest of my life. He hands me a bowl of Crystal's hot sauce. Crystal's hot sauce for Indian food. Fantastic.
So please for the love of God save your money and go somewhere else to eat. No matter how much you think you need Indian food you don't need it bad enough to deal with this nonsense. -

This place has great & authentic Indian food! We came here tonight on a rainy Friday night and we're the only ones here for a late dinner. The owner took great care of us making sure we knew what each dish was and that everything we ordered was cooked exactly to our liking. I highly recommend this place even if you just are ordering carryout for a movie night at home!
